Days & Nights

Our days are great and they just keep getting better. The girls are on a schedule/routine that seems to be working out really well. We get up between 6 and 7 a.m., Saylor gets her medicine, we play for 30 minutes then eat breakfast. (usually a fruit and some oatmeal). Lately, it's been nice enough in the mornings for us to go on a wagon ride after they eat. When we get back, we play until 8:45 a.m. then it's naptime. I put Saylor in the pack n play and get Charlee to sleep, then it's Saylor's turn. They usually wake up at around 9:30 a.m. At 10:00 they have lunch. (vegetable, fruit, juice and snacks) We play until 12:00 p.m. then they get a bottle. At 12:45 p.m. it's naptime again. They usually sleep until about 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. At 3:00 p.m. they get another bottle. We play until 5:00 p.m. then it's their dinner time. (vegetable, fruit, juice and snacks) We play until Brent gets home at around 6:30 p.m. We eat dinner that I've somehow managed to cook. At 7:00 p.m. Saylor gets her medicine, every other night is baths, and at 7:30 p.m. they take their bottles and they're in their beds by 8:00 p.m. THEN, Charlee is up every hour to hour and a half and I give her a bottle around midnight and the cycle continues with her crying out for me to go get her until about 5:00 a.m. SO, I've decided this weekend we WILL be crying-it-out! I'm very nervous about it, but I know she's the way she is because of me. Every time she wimpers, I'm always there because I don't want her to wake up Saylor. I've created a cute little monster! We're going to fix the pack n play nice and cozy for Saylor and she'll sleep in our room with Brent. I'll sleep in our guest room (where we've both been sleeping since we put the girls in their own beds). Hopefully, everything will go well and maybe I won't cry more than Charlee. In the meantime, here are some sweet pictures of the girls.

This picture was taken the other night after she got out of the tub.

Charlee holds her bottle now, so during the day I just lay her down in the floor and she feeds herself while I feed Saylor. This has been soooo nice! :)

Our 1st Time in the Pool!!!

We took the girls over to Shirley's this afternoon and got the girls in the pool. They LOVED it!! We were kinda surprised at just how well they did. We should've known they'd do great! Looks like we'll be spending many more days at Big's house!! :) :)

Life is Good!

Yesterday we went to Sam's, Target, and Wal-Mart. The girls did so great! They must really love to shop because it's very rare that we have any trouble with them. They're always good to me when I'm by myself too...thank goodness! :) So, while we were at Target we loaded up on baby food and got the girls a new storage bench/toy box, hamper, and other cute little pink things. Saylor is showing you their new toy box. They both wanted to bang on it as soon as I put together.
Today we got the girls ready to go to Big's house to go swimming for the first time, but the weather interfered with that. Hopefully, we'll have better luck tomorrow. I can't wait to see how they react to the water. Let's hope it's good.

Charlee got a little bit messy today! She's also learned that when she gets food on hers hands that she can lick it off. You should see her sucking on her fingers to get every last bit before I wipe them clean. Too cute!!

For some reason, Saylor put her little hand on her cheek and just left it there for the longest. I couldn't resist taking a picture. Sweet, Sweet Saylor. This is definitely my new favorite of her.:)

We're Bloggin, Babies!!!!

WOO HOO!!! FINALLY! My sweet husband tried and tried and tried to get our old computer to work, but bless it's heart, it just couldn't do it. Not only could we not sign into blogger.com, but it wouldn't even let us download pictures from our camera. A good friend of ours, Brandon Dawson, came over yesterday to look at it and we all decided it was time to trade it in for a newer model.:) So, we have a Gateway now and obviously all is well and it's working great!!

The girls are doing AWESOME!!! They're getting sooo big and doing so much and going everywhere! I'm on the brink of buying a play yard for the living room so I can keep them more contained. I put them in the pack n play now, but it's getting a little crowded and they won't stay in their own corners. ALSO, Charlee's earrings keep getting hung in the wall netting and ripping out of her ears! This is awful! I've resorted to putting little round band-aids over them, but then I worry that she'll find them and eat them. Oh well...it'll figure itself out I'm sure. No more steps for Charlee yet. I told Mama that both the girls are waiting on them to get back before they walk. There's a lot more to talk about, but I'll save it for later posts. Momma's tired and I'm sure little Miss Charlee will be wanting a bottle pretty soon. More on that later, too. More pictures soon, too.

Sorry for the absence, but we're back up and running now!!!

Can't Blog... :(

I'm at my Aunt Kristi and Uncle Stacy's house for my Nana's 80th birthday party and I thought I'd let you know that I can't sign in to blogger to post anything new from our computer at home. Don't know why and it's driving me crazy! This may be the last post for awhile until we can figure things out.

Charlee's First Step?!?

Well, I wasn't so sure if Charlee had taken her first step or not, but I'm gonna say she did! When we were at my parents' house last week she was standing and to turn around she took a step out and then fell. She'd never done this before. She has been doing it numerous times each day since! She's really trying, but doesn't know she is. I feel like within the next week or so she'll be taking more than one. I'll keep you posted...

Meme & Papa's, Cardiologist, and Christmas in June...OH MY!!!

Yesterday and today have been pretty busy for the Green girls. We went to see Meme and Papa yesterday before they left for the east coast for a month. We had a really great day, but we're going to miss them like crazy!! Today, Brent took off work so he could go with us to Saylor's last check up with her cardiologist, Dr. Israel, in Huntsville. She had to have an ultrasound and EKG of her heart. He looked at her when we walked in and told us to go ahead and take her shirt off and we'll see if we can get anything. Meaning, here's a 9 month old who's not going to lay still and this EKG will take FOREVER!!! Well, well, Miss Saylor proved him wrong!! You should've seen her...she laid there the ENTIRE time with her hands above her head and didn't move a muscle! We were 2 VERY PROUD parents! :) Dr. Israel was quite surprised and told her she got the ALL STAR OF THE YEAR award! But, she was also very healthy and he saw no problems with her heart. Everything had corrected itself as she's grown. YAY!!! He told us we were very sweet people but to never come back...VERY PROUD again! :) After her appointment we headed to Toys R Us because the girls really needed some new toys. The poor things are getting so bored :) So we got a few things and their Daddy put them together for them when we got home. 2 GREAT days back-to-back!

Look at Saylor's feet...she just needs her tutu.

Ava was behind me getting them to laugh.

The girls sitting with Cameron.

We were all kinda squinty-eyed...just a swingin'.

TOYS!!

I think she likes it!

Petting her lion riding toy.

We loved this picture of the girls...pay no attention to me.

Ready to run...

Our 1st wagon ride!

The girls were feeling good this afternoon so we decided to take the wagon out for it's first spin. They did soooo good! We were afraid Charlee would be trying to jump out, but she didn't.

Kevin stopped to say hello!

He let the girls borrow his hat.

Fevers

Both girls started running a fever last night. Right now it's about 11 a.m. and things seem to getting better. Hopefully with another couple doses of Tylenol/Ibuprofen things will be better in no time. :) :)

Pictures and Dr.'s Visit

Well, we got to go to HMP Studios yesterday for the girls' 9 month pictures!! They did GREAT!!! It only took 1 hour and 10 minutes...that has to be some kind of record! There weren't any break downs or come-aparts either. They had some super smiles for Mrs. Heather. Saylor sucked in her bottom lip a lot and Charlee had lots of crooked little grins! They'll be the most beautiful pictures!! :) :) Brent and I are thankful Big went with us, too! It's certainly not just a 2 man job!
Today they had their 9 month check up with Dr. Crenshaw. It went really well. She was impressed with how well they're doing developmentally to be 5 weeks early. They're ahead of the game in many things already. :) Charlee weighs 18 lbs. 9 oz and Saylor is 17 lbs. 6 oz. Saylor is 28 1/4 inches and Charlee is 28 inches. (new carseats are in our near future) They got shots and that went as expected and we all needed a nap when we left. Dr. Crenshaw thinks we need to do a Cry-It-Out Bootcamp for Charlee. We shall see... She also tried holding Charlee for a little while and said she felt like she'd had a workout from trying to wrestle her. The sweet baby is never still. That means I'm never still either! She had to do her check up sitting in my lap because she wouldn't be still on the table. I'm always surprised when we get her diaper on the right way because as much as she moves and rolls and flips it should end up on her head and inside out. Bless her! :) But, I promise, she's been like that since the womb! :)
Here are some pictures from today...enjoy!!!

We started our day with a "walk". They're hilarious in these! They just ram into things...and each other!

This was Charlee before I brushed her hair this morning and one of those cute little crooked grins.

Saylor sittin' pretty! Look at that belly! :)

All dressed up for our doctor's appointment!

"Momma, is that you? I can't see anything!"

Look at Saylor...she's saying, "SERIOUSLY!?! HATS?!?" Needless to say, the hats stayed home.

This is when we got home and I was cooking dinner. I know it looks like they're completely naked but they've got on their bloomers that went with their dresses.

Brent decided to put on some trunks and hop in the tub with the girls tonight. I think they all had a really good time! SO SWEET!! These girls have the best Daddy!

We're 9 months old!!

WOW!!! 9 months!!! To celebrate being such big girls they decided to stay awake from about 12:30 to 4:00 this morning! Brent's working close to Nashville and has been getting up at 3:30 every morning and driving and coming home every night. He really needed to catch up on some sleep so he got a hotel room. So it was just me. Both girls were sooo sleepy but just wouldn't give it up. They also don't like sharing me when they're ready for bed so I had to do one at a time while the other one was screaming at me and her sister. Poor, poor babies. They were pitiful. I tried the cry it out, but there was no point. But all was better at 4 then we all got up at 6:30 and had the best day! We had some surprise visitors...Aunt Belee and Aunt Susie!!! Tomorrow we go to HMP Studios for pictures and Friday is their check-up and the other half of the shots they didn't get at 6 months. I pray that Saylor is able to handle these with no problems. Brent's off until Monday and I'm so glad and I know the girls are too.

I love this face that Charlee's making...it's like she's saying "what?".

Do you see Big's house, Sister?
