Father's Day and other FUN!

Brent had a GREAT Father's Day and he's a proud Daddy everyday of the year!  The girls got him some sweet gifts and a precious card.
Today we had our monthly get together.  Would you believe I didn't take ONE picture!  We had some really great finger foods and desserts and I ate so much that I didn't even eat any dinner tonight because I'm STILL full!!!!  I found a Paula Deen Chocolate Cobbler recipe and it was AMAZING!!!  I said I'm gonna stop making cakes and do all chocolate cobblers.  YUMMY!  We had the BEST time and I can't wait to do it again next month!

Playing around...

 HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DADDY!

Saturday Morning in the Rose Garden

On Saturday morning we met up with the King's to TRY to take some family pictures at Delano Park's Rose Garden in Decatur.  Needless to say, Ian was the only one willing to cooperate.  Maybe we can try it again soon.  =)

Good Times Never Seemed So Good

Oh, the fun we have!!  Here's a few pictures to share of our two beauties!

TICKLE, TICKLE, TICKLE!

 AWWW!  Sisters!

We got the cutest cowboy boots in the mail yesterday and had to test them out!  The girls LOVE them!  I order them for their 2 year old pictures along with the sweetest little dress.

What a difference a year makes...

I go back and look at old pictures of the girls a lot and just can't believe how fast they're growing up.  What I love most about looking back at these is being able to remember the moment I took it.   I thought I'd share a couple with you from this time last year.  I also found my first attempt at decorating a cake.  It was for the 4th of July and I had NO CLUE what I was doing.

Yep, what a difference a year can make!  NO CLUE!!!!

Life is Good!

Here are a few pictures of the past few fun-filled days at the Green House!  =)

Charlee and Saylor love getting to drink their juice at the dining room table now.  They're such big girls!

Playing with Dylan before he, Cameron, Mama and Daddy left for an Alaskan cruise!  =)

Charlee looks adorable with her silly pants on her head.

Getting ready to go jump in our new pool!  Check out Saylor's face.  Bless her heart.  We'll always have to smother her with sunblock.

Us girls in our new pool!  It's two pools connected by a hippos head for a slide.  They LOVED it!  Just ignore the pastey white lady in between the two cuties!  =)

Addyson came to see us!  Charlee and Saylor LOVE her!  I can't believe she'll be a year old in less than a month!

My good friend, Alisha Crunk's little girl Lizzie's 2nd birthday party is today.  Here's her cake and cupcakes.  This was probably my biggest challenge so far. Once I got the outline of her body it was no problem.  I absolutely love a new challenge.  I keep trying to think of something new and different for my own birthday cake.

I must say these are probably the cutest cupcakes ever.  I'm glad Alisha had this idea.  We may do some of these for the girls' party.

Our little girls are getting bigger everyday

For the LOOONNNGGGEST time I've known that Charlee and Saylor needed to be laid down in their beds at night and go to sleep on their own.  They've been held, rocked, snuggled and lullabied for the past 21 months.  So, last Tuesday night I decided that it was time to try putting them in their beds and letting them fall asleep on their own.  Some of you may be thinking "what's the big deal? just lay them down and they'll go to sleep.  maybe you should've done that from the beginning."  Maybe so, but after Saylor gave us the scare of our lives at 8 weeks and had to be put on an apnea monitor our whole thought process changed.  Even though I still go back to that place quite often, even if they sleep later in the morning than normally, I always think the absolute worst.  I know Brent does too.  I'll never forget seeing Saylor that way and I'd give anything if I could get that image out of my head.  But in saying all this, we know they are perfectly healthy and they will be fine.  They've been laying down on their own for naps for about 4 months so I knew they'd be able to do it at nighttime.  The only difference is the dark.  WELL, since last Tuesday they have both fallen asleep in their beds all by themselves!!!!  I'm so proud!!  The first 3 nights were, of course, the worst, but the past 3 nights there's been ZERO crying!  This is such a big step for all of us and I'm so happy that we've gone ahead and done, but I knew it was time.

We are family...

The girls are always playing together, but lately they've stepped it up a notch and started figuring out new games or more silly ways to be with each other.  I LOVE watching all this happen and how they discover something new with each other and then they'll  just laugh and laugh and laugh.  It's another one of those things that make it A LOT more fun to have 2 at a time.  =)

Watching Daddy blow bubbles with his bubble gum.  This was TOO CUTE!!

 hmmm...

 Feeding each other goldfish.

Since John is still in town I decided to have all of us brothers and sisters get together at our house on Monday.  This is something we've never done in the past 21 years.  Of course we've all been together at the same place at the same time, but we've never just eaten a meal with just us without our parents and I was so excited to have all of our families together.  I was beyond disappointed when Brian didn't show up with Tracy and Braxton.  =(  BUT, everybody else was here and that's all that mattered!   We had one of the best days and so did our kiddos!  =)

The big kids having a picnic on a tablecloth in the living room.

How sweet!!  Braxton and Ian pushing their little cousins.

Willa's a big girl!

Braxton having fun with his Mama!

Ava taking orders for dessert.

Of course we had CAKE!

and Saylor LOVED it.  Charlee, not so much!

After Charlee and Saylor layed down for their nap we all piled up and watched "The Little Mermaid"!

and THEN the big girls put on a fashion show that should've been in NYC!  IT WAS FABULOUS!!

Then we took some more sweet pictures...

Later that night....our little bag ladies.  =)
