Party and Fun!

We've had a wonderful weekend!  We did pretty good at the yard sale, but I think we'll skip a year or two before we do another one.  Last night we got to go to Bailey's birthday party in Rane Bay.  We had the MOST FUN!!!  A night at the Newbern's is ALWAYS a night to remember!!  I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!  Laura cooked the best chicken casserole and green bean casserole...and I fixed Charlee the best pb&j...little stinker!

OH ME!!!

 Charlee's saying her baby's night night prayer...AMEN.

PARTY, PARTY!

We had a WONDERFUL weekend full of birthday parties!!  Not only did we get to celebrate Charlee and Saylor's, but my Grandma's 90th birthday party was on Sunday.  All the Gillespie's came to Alabama to celebrate!!!  It was the best, fastest weekend!  I feel like I just didn't get enough time to sit and talk to everybody, but our sweeties keep us busy.  It was INCREDIBLE getting to see everybody and HOPEFULLY it won't be another 20 something years until we're together again!

I can't say THANK YOU enough for everybody who took time out to come to the girls' party.  It was a great day, super hot, but GREAT nonetheless.  I kept telling them that a whole lot of people who love them a WHOLE lot were gonna be coming to see them to tell them Happy Birthday!  And they did indeed!

A little catching up to do...

Well, life has been a lot more busy around the Green house this past week.  Work is going great and I have some super sweet little first graders!  I've still been EXHAUSTED, but I have to say that week 2 was better than week 1. One of my sweet girls asked me if my grandkids liked to color!  I said my kids like to and then I added, do I look THAT tired?!  She just giggled!  =)  I just don't have any free time. period.  Any spare time I have goes to Charlee and Saylor and that will never change for as long as I live. and if you know Brent, you know that goes double for him.  =)   We worked way too hard to get these two precious angels here.
I lost my voice after the first couple of days of school and it's still MIA.  I did start using some chloraseptic spray this weekend and that's helped a lot. THANK GOODNESS because we've got a VERY BUSY week ahead of us!!!!!!!  Charlee and Saylor will be 2 on Friday!  WOW!!  We'll have their pictures Thursday afternoon, I'm taking off Friday so I can get their cakeS done...yes, there will be 2.  And so I can finish up the last minute decorations (i'm making most of these too).  Their party is Saturday at 10 A.M.  We decided to do a morning party because it won't interfere with their naps and everybody can come here to eat lunch and have the rest of the day rest (or maybe that's just us).  Sunday will be my Grandma's 90th birthday party and I CANNOT WAIT to see all of my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Most are coming in on Thursday and leaving on Monday!  I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting on them to arrive!
I'm going to TRY to do the blog at least once a week.  I know this will be a big change from the last couple of years.  I know some of you check it everyday for an update.  I have to admit any time I get on the computer I check it too...even though I know it's not been updated.  I just like checking in and then I'll read what I wrote and realize all the errors I made.  I guess I should proofread before I publish....oh well!  =)
Here are some pictures from the past week.

BEAUTIFUL BABIES!

Our niece, Alex, had her 8th birthday party at Meme and Papa's house yesterday.  It's so hard to believe how fast everybody's growing up!

Brent's MeeMaw's birthday was yesterday and HE made her cake!!  =)  I just did the writing.  I can honestly say I taught him everything he knows!  He did awesome!  Jordyn thought so, too!

This is Alex's butterfly cake.  It was my first time using a shape pan.

HAPPY, HAPPY!

Friday was my 31st birthday!  It was the BEST birthday I've had so far!  Charlee and Saylor were so SWEET and they sang "Happy Day to Voo" to me and kept giving me hugs.  They got me some things for my desk in my classroom.  They were so excited to give me my card and gifts.  I did get the BEST cards this year too!   Cards mean A LOT to me!  Phone calls do too...Mama and Daddy =)  I waited ALL DAY LONG by the phone for my parents to call me.  I even took the phone with me to the shower and every time I went to the bathroom.  but, no call...Brent and I went on our VERY FIRST date since way back in 2009.  Shirley came over to watch the girls at about 5 p.m. so on our way to town I decided to call Mama and Daddy to see if they still loved me...THEY DO!!!  WHEW!!!!!!!  But, they had been really busy that day and they know not to call during certain times because of napping and stuff.  But, they did send me a facebook message first thing that morning.  LOL!  =)  One of the best parts of my birthday was getting to eat my AMAZING birthday cake made by my sweetie!!!  Brent did the most WONDERFUL job on my cake!  I know now how nice it is to have a cake made especially for you by someone you love!  I baked the cake, but he did ALL the rest!  He's AWESOME!

Here are some pictures from this past week and my birthday...ENJOY!

The girls snuck the thermometers out of the drawer and I just let them play with them.  No harm done, but I have to find a new (higher) home for them.

 LEARNING IS FUN! =)

"Down, Down Baby"

Look what my Daddy made for me!!!  This is my new cupcake holder/carrier.  He went above and beyond for me!  He knows that I'm always looking for something to carry cupcakes in to where ever it is they need to go.  Also, storing them in the fridge can be a headache sometimes.  NO MORE!  This is a 2 tier stand that holds 32 cupcakes and he did an additional single layer that holds 16 more. For a total of 48!!!  It fits in our extra fridge that's in our garage (this is where I store all cakes and cupcakes) and it's going to be a breeze for transportation now!  THANK YOU, DADDY! ! !

What?  There's a heat advisory today?  No Way!

This is one of the girls' FAVORITE places in the house.  Saylor's bedroom window.
