Thanksgiving 2011 and Daddy's 32nd Birthday!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving!  Mainly because we have SO MUCH to be thankful for...our cup runneth over.  =)  Tiffany's mom, Angela, got to come home!!!  She's going to stay with Corey and Tiffany for as long as she needs to.  We're so glad she's going to be ok.
On Thanksgiving day we went to Meme and Papa's for lunch came home to take a nap then ate dinner with Big.  Then, Tracy was able to come watch the girls for us on Friday so went shopping.  We went to Huntsville and it really wasn't bad at all.  I think all the crazies came out the night before.  But, we met up with Santa and let him know the girls' Christmas list.  I AM SO EXCITED! ! !
Saturday was Brent's 32nd birthday.  I made him a cake, but I didn't make my own icing for this one.  He told me not to, but it felt strange not doing it for him.  All in all, we had a GREAT Thanksgiving/Birthday weekend.  It just went by in a FLASH! ! !

Princess Haircuts

Finally, the girls got their very first haircut! ! !  They did an AMAZING job!  Brent and I were beaming walking out of there.  We were so proud of how well they both did!  We've been talking about haircuts for awhile now and telling them that they're going to get "Princess Haircuts" with Mrs. Ann.  Thanks to Laura, Ann's been cutting my hair since I was 16!  I went first so the girls could see that it was fun and all going to be ok...she cut about 5 inches off my hair.  So, then Saylor went and then Charlee.  Saylor got more cut...mostly her pretty little mullet. =)  Charlee just got a good trim.  So, then we came home, ate lunch, took naps, and went shopping and ate at Demos'.  It was the first time us girls had been there.  A lady even came over to compliment the girls on how well behaved they were.  Once again, we were beaming!  =)  Such a great day!  Such sweet memories!

I was trying to get some 'before' pictures of their hair.  As you can tell, Charlee loves posing for the camera.

She saw me getting my hair washed and thought she was supposed to lay down to get her hair cut.  It was too cute!

This and That

Here are a few random pictures from the past couple of weeks.  Things have been really busy around our house.  There just aren't enough hours in the day! ! !  AND the weekends seem to get shorter and shorter.  It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already next week along with Brent's birthday!  He's told me to not worry about baking him a cake, but we'll see.  They just take up so much time.  I used to do them when the girls were sleeping, but now that I'm a working Momma  I NEED MY SLEEP!  Two toddlers and 19 first graders take a lot out of ya!  =)
On another note...our house is for sale!! FINALLY!  =)  It's all a little bittersweet for me, but we're really ready to build again.  We've got our plan ready and picked out our next lot.  Now, if only the perfect people will come along sooner rather than later.  But, we know how long it take a house to sell so we're in no rush.
And finally, we've been saying an extra night-night prayer for Ms. Angela this week.  This is my sister-in-law, Tiffany's mother.  She had a brain aneurysum on Sunday and didn't know for sure about it until Monday.  She's in Huntsville in ICU.  They did surgery last night (Wednesday) and we 're still waiting to hear how things are today.  Please remember her.

Halloween 2011 and other Sweet Treats

Halloween was really great this year!  We really talked up "Trick or Treating" before we went.  We got their "Punkin' Jack's" (as they call them) early.  I had found some little toddler scrubs back in September and didn't even think about them for Halloween until they put them on and Brent said something about them being doctors for Halloween.  I had originally planned on Minnie Mouse, but I liked this better...and we already had the costume!  =)  We didn't go too far or to too many doors this year, but next year I bet we'll go a little further.

These first few pictures were a few days before Halloween.

Charlee dressed herself...inside out.  =)

We went to see Jordyn and Addyson.  Looks like Saylor's checking his temperature.

This was the best group picture I could get.
