Babies Day Out and Doctor Visits...

Yesterday was Charlee and Saylor's first official outing!! It was soo much fun! The only down side to the whole day was that Brent didn't get to be there. We had to go to Dr. Castillo's in Huntsville for Saylor's 2nd post-op visit and we had him look at Charlee too. He released Saylor from her apnea monitor during the day, but still wants her to wear it at night for at least 8 more weeks. I was thrilled with this decision. Brent and I would rather do it this way instead of taking her off of it cold turkey. But, we know eventually she'll be off of it and it's exciting...and scary! Charlee saw him because she's always sounded like she's stuffy and nothing ever comes out so he prescribed Nasonex to see if that will take care of it. We'll see. After we left Meme, Papa, Charlee, Saylor and I headed to the mall!!!!!!! Aunt Mandy works at Dillard's so we went and surprised her and ate lunch with her. It was a GREAT day and Charlee and Saylor did awesome considering they had to stay in their carseats the entire time.

Today we went for their 4 month check up and shots. Both are doing great! Shot's weren't fun at all! Charlee is 14 lbs. and Saylor is 13 lbs. They've been about a pound apart since Saylor had to be given smaller volume feeds. But, now she's eating the same as Charlee and we're starting baby food tomorrow!!!!!!!! They're growing up too fast!

Papa strolling them in!!

They were both sound asleep when we got there.

Oh, but they woke up when they smelled NEW clothes!

On the elevator!

I'm just pretending to push the stroller! Papa drove the whole time. I was too busy taking pictures!!

The GIRLS!!!

Saylor needed Meme to hold her.

She REALLY didn't want to leave!! That's MY girl!!!!!

Fun with Meme and Papa!

Look out, Sister!

I'm sure I should've probably tried to stop this from happening instead of getting the camera, but I just couldn't help myself. ...just wait 'til they get hair! ...and to think, we considered getting only one crib for these little girls. Can you imagine??!!??

We did it!

We've slept in our beds for 2 nights now. Well, sort of. Charlee has slept like a champ and even discovered that sleeping on her stomach is really nice. (just like her Momma!) Now...Saylor had a tough time getting adjusted to the mattress the first night (or at least that's what I think was going on). She -and I- stayed awake from midnight until 6:30 in the morning...i stayed up all day. So, we went to Wal-Mart and got both girls some foam to put on top of their mattresses. I know everything says we shouldn't do that, but honestly I'm sure they've slept with worse things already in their 4 months. They're strong enough to be able to lift their heads on their own so we're not really worried about that. So, Miss Saylor slept like a champ last night!! Of course both girls will wake up and cry out a little because they're missing their passy or something else. With one baby I'd be more than happy to let that baby just whine about it until she soothed herself back to sleep...but no so much with a buddy in the room. I can tell this will be a challenge for us and it still requires me to get up a lot with both girls...I'm ready to sleep like a champ too little ladies! LOL! All in all, night #2 was a breeze compared with #1. They're gonna do better and better, I know. Especially when those little bellies start getting some "food". But, we did it and I couldn't be prouder!

Sleeping in our own beds soon...hopefully

We're hoping to have Charlee and Saylor in their own beds by this weekend. I had wanted to try it when they turned 3 months, but with everything that happened with Saylor there was no way I was putting her in a room without us in it. Even with the best video monitors that money can buy. The past couple of weeks both girls have had colds and ear infections and get so stuffy at night that we have to suck their poor little noses quite a few times. So that put a delay on the crib situation too. But now, they're starting to get better and with Saylor's apnea monitor still on her, I really want to try it. I think at 4 1/2 months old it's time.
This is where the girls sleep now. It's on my side of the bed.

Here's their room.

Saylor's got the giraffe and Charlee is the elephant.

YAY CHARLEE!!

Today Charlee rolled over ALL THE WAY from her back to belly to back! I couldn't believe how fast it happened!! I picked up the phone to tell her Daddy as soon as it happened! I hate he missed it.

Happy babies...on the move

The girls are starting to amaze me more and more everyday with the new things they do. They have really started recognizing each. Saylor has to always be touching Charlee whenever they're close. Saylor's rolling from her belly to her back with ease and Charlee does better from her back to her belly. They are getting stronger everyday and it's so bitter sweet that they're only little for a little while.

Yea Alabama!

HO! HO! HO!
