Painted letters

I've been working on these letters for the past week and FINALLY they're done!! I'm really proud of them. Since I can't paint the walls pink I thought I'd paint these letters instead.

Sorry! It's been awhile!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted anything! Don't get used to such an absence! Mama and Daddy (Meme and Papa) will be gone for pretty much the whole summer so I'm really going to try my BEST to post something for them everyday.

Charlee and Saylor have been keeping me very busy and Brent's been working lots of over time these past couple of weeks. They're all over the place and Saylor has started pulling up. They both have teeth coming in. These little girls get sweeter and more beautiful every time I turn around!!! Their favorite word is bye-bye and they wave when they say it! They're just sooo smart!! :) :)

Charlee's tongue surgery went great!! She did an amazing job before, during and after! The actual procedure only took 45 seconds but hopefully that saved her from any trouble she may have had in her future.

Here are some of the sweetest pictures from over the past couple of weeks...

I can't believe I got this picture! It has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!!

Charlee's new sweet little scrunched up crooked grin! :) She's just started making this face in the past week! ADORABLE!

Charlee's new favorite game with Daddy...pulling down the blinds and LAUGHING like crazy! We have to get it on video!

Saylor crawling through the slide.

I made this tutu for the girls...this one will just be to play with and get used to. I'm making the real ones for their 1 year pictures. Charlee just found it in this picture and that's when she decided she didn't like it and started crying!

Saylor loved it!

This is the best "before" picture of Charlee's tongue I could get. You may have to click on it to make it bigger to see her little tissue.

Saylor's first time eating with her hands!! :)

Charlee's first time, too!! :)

YUMMY!!

Let's go get a bath!!!!

SUCCESS!!

Well, Iguess the girls thought I was telling on them in the last post! They BOTH started eating their finger foods yesterday!!! Saylor did it first with the yogurt melts at lunch then Charlee did it at dinner with a Ritz! I couldn't be prouder!! Pictures to come...

puzzled???

I just wonder when the girls will pick up food and eat it. I've tried all the little baby finger foods and they just won't eat them...they won't even put them in their mouths. When I try to put them in their mouths they gag. They'll put EVERYTHING else in their mouths, just not food. Oh well, I guess they'll let me know when they're ready. I'll keep on trying though.
On a positive note, sippy cups are going pretty well. I'm pretty sure they've caught on to the concept and get better at it everyday.

Charlee

Charlee will be having surgery on her tongue next Friday, the 21st. Dr. Lockette will be doing it. He said there's not really any prep or recovery involved. It will just feel like she bit her tongue badly. She'll be relaxed with gas and then he'll give her a numbing shot around that tissue, then cut it. Hopefully this will just bypass any problems she may have had later on with speech or dental or anything else.

This and That

Two little cuties!

Look at Charlee standing up! She's been doing this for about a month now.

What's this thing do??

Such a rare moment! you know this little girl is sleepy if she falls asleep while she's playing.

I think her shirt says it all!

Me and my girls! :) :)

Saylor has really caught up with Charlee in the moving around department (literally)!

Charlee just lets her do this stuff with no complaints!

Just look at the excitement on Saylor's face!!!

Get him, girls!

My 1st Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day couldn't have been any better!! It certainly has a whole new meaning for me. Being Charlee and Saylor's Momma is the best gift I've ever been given. I live everyday for them and they've made me happier than I ever dreamed possible. I thank God everyday for choosing me to be their mother.
Just getting to be a mother and celebrate Mother's Day means so much to me...especially when I thought for so long that I'd never have the opportunity. Everything happens for a reason and these girls were given to Brent and me in God's time. Like my Daddy told me...perfection takes time! Our sweet baby girls are perfect beyond measure and I can't wait for MANY more Mother's Days with them!

Thank you baby girls!! I guess that's my Mother's Day gift. I haven't planned on going anywhere today, but since I'm ready we might as well get outta here and do something! :) :)

Growing Girls!

Saylor had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Crenshaw yesterday so of course Charlee went too. They're getting so big. Charlee is 17 lbs. 12 oz. and Saylor is 16 lbs. 10 oz. I was really glad to see that they're still only about a pound difference. I was afraid that Charlee was gonna out-weigh Saylor by more than that...which would be absolutely fine! Charlee is still waking up between 1 and 3 every night and won't go back to sleep unless she gets a bottle. Saylor sleeps GREAT every night!! While we were there I asked about Charlee's tongue. I've always thought that her little connector tissue came too close to the tip of her tongue. Dr. Crenshaw agreed and said that it was really tight. She's referring her to a specialist and we'll decide together if we want to get it clipped or not. They're supposed to call me to let me know when that appointment is. Hopefully soon.
Aunt Belee went with us and I couldn't have done it without her! THANK YOU, KIMBERLY!!

Willa's 2nd Birthday Party at Maggie Moo's

Willa's birthday party was Saturday morning at Maggie Moo's at Bridge Street. It was a really neat way to party...LOTS of ice cream!! The kids got to go on a tour of the store and make their own Mango sorbet (DELICIOUS)! They met Maggie Moo and got to play games with her, too. Everybody had a great time!

Us with Maggie Moo...It was soooo windy!
