Da Da!
Charlee just said DaDa!! I told Brent that's why we had two! Looks like we've got a Momma's girl (Saylor) and a Daddy's girl (Charlee)!! YAY!!!
BOO, Shots!
Well, it happened again! Bless Saylor's little heart! At 2:30 p.m. yesterday she started running a fever and vomited. Her little body just has a hard time trying to process the vaccines I guess. She's seems all better this morning so let's hope in June when she gets the other half of this round she'll do a lot better.

Doctor's visit
We had our 6 month check-up yesterday even though we're almost 7 months. Everything went great! The girls got their last synagis shot. They also got half of their vaccinations. The other half will be given at 9 months. We decided to split them because their last shots gave Saylor a pretty hard time with high fever and vomiting and we just couldn't take a chance on doing that to her again. She's been through too much already! I'm happy to report that both girls haven't run any fever and no vomiting! We've kept motrin in them and will until 24 hours after shots. 3:30 p.m. today (Saturday) Now for their stats...Charlee - 16 lbs. 6 oz and 26 1/4 in. Saylor - 15 lbs. 4 oz and 26 1/2 in. We think there's more of a difference in their length than that. Saylor's a tall drink of water! lol Dr. Crenshaw said Charlee is acting more like a 9 month old right now. She's sitting, crawling, and pulling up already! She's also in the "stranger danger" phase. That's why she cries when she sees people she's not as used to. Saylor's right on schedule.. We think they're both progressing beautifully and so does Dr. Crenshaw.

Girls...Daddy's Home!!
Brent made a grand entrance yesterday! He couldn't wait to get home to see his girls and decided the road would take too long so he took to the air! The helicopter is pulling the wire for the TVA towers that they're working on close to our house. They landed right in the driveway! How cool is Charlee and Saylor's daddy?!?

?OVERPROTECTIVE?
This is our living room floor now. I know we can't stop the girls from falling and getting hurt, but under our hardwood is concrete and poor Charlee has banged her head way too many times. So, now that we have 2 babies that are crawling (still backwards) and trying to sit up (Charlee's a pro now) we thought we'd at least have a rubber floor since we can't lock them in a rubber room until they learn to walk.

Look Mom, No Wires!
Saylor was 100% released from her apnea monitor on Thursday! We've survived the weekend sleeping without it. I thought Brent and I would be hovering over her to make sure she was breathing, but we checked on her just as much as usual. We're so thankful that she's done so well since everything happened in November and then after her surgery in December. She's a strong little girl and has come a long way. God has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams with these 2 incredibly amazing baby girls. Life is good!

Saylor's up!
Last night Saylor got up on her hands and knees! She's ready to crawl!! Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it to show you. :( I just wonder if she'll roam around backwards like Charlee. I can't wait to find out!

Ava's 7th birthday party was Saturday at the bowling alley. We've had 3 awesome birthday parties 3 weekends in a row! Everybody had such a good time...perfect for adults and kids!
Saylor snoozing with Grandma. Just look at those sweet little lips puckered out!
Charlee snoozing on Meme. Don't you just want to eat those little elbows!
Ava...about to hit the lane...look at the determination!

The Toothfairy better get ready...
Charlee has her first tooth!!! It's killing her, but it's well on it's way! I just knew that Saylor's would be first to pop through because she seems like she's been teething for the past 2 months, but Charlee beat her. This is so exciting!!!
The girls' 6 month pictures are ready to look at. Go to heathermitchellphotography.com enter site proofing password is danielle65.

Getting caught up with the girls...
In the past week both girls have made some changes. Saylor has totally come out of her shell! She smiles so much now and it's absolutely precious, but she's also started screaming...so much! It's hilarious now, but when she's 13 it won't be so cute! Charlee will steal all the toys away from her and she'll just scream! Charlee does this a lot. I'm pretty sure it's a sign of things to come. But, the smiling is the sweetest thing ever!!! Charlee still smiles all the time but now she's started crying a lot too. It's those pitiful cries where her little bottom lip pokes out and everything. Eating is going really well with Charlee but Saylor...not so much. I struggle at 99% of our baby food feedings just to pry the spoon in her mouth. She sucks on her bottom lip so tight and I have to sing to her to get her to smile then she opens up just enough for me to cram in 3 or 4 spoonfuls. (I get some of the girls' best smiles when I sing to them...yes, I'm sure it's THAT funny!) Charlee is crawling everywhere...it's all backwards, but you should see her go. They're both sitting up...Charlee really well on her own, but Saylor has to be supported. There is no rhyme or reason to sleeping at night. Saylor...I have no complaints...Thank you, Saylor!! Charlee...just isn't sure how the whole night time thing works sometimes. It could be sooo much worse, though...so no complaints for Charlee either. We're just so thankful to have these beautiful baby girls and know that they're doing so well and are so healthy. I can't believe how fast they're already growing up. You'll probably get tired off hearing that from me...but, I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
