Charlee

Charlee definitely had her ups and downs today.  This morning she ended up having a fever of 105.6!!!!  SCARED ME TO DEATH!!  I immediately gave her some ibuprofen called the doctor and got her in the tub to get it down.  Thankfully, it got down to 102 and she was ready to play again...She never had any vomiting, but her fever would be high and low.  It never got THAT high again.  We would've been out the door if it hadn't come down.  She ate and drank really well all day and I feel like that's helped her more than anything.  She's sleeping now, but when we laid her down her temperature was 101.5.  I'm about to go check again before I get to bed.  Hopefully, it's on it's way down.  Our poor, sweet baby girls!

Poor Charlee

Well, it was bound to happen.  Our little Charlee woke up this morning with a 103 fever.  She's eating and drinking great, so maybe she'll just have the fever part of the sickness.  I also did some research of my own about the throat virus and one of it's symptoms is "hand, foot and mouth disease" after the fever breaks.  So that's the bumps on Saylor.  Those look better this morning, too.  She's just been having a tough time sleeping since all this happened, too.  You'd think she'd just want to sleep as bad as she's felt, but nope.  I think it's a lot of just wanting to be held, too.  =) 

Charlee update...

It's the FLU!!!! Her temperature averaged 100 over the last 24 hours and she produced more mucus than I ever imagined possible. Above all, I just knew she didn't feel good. She wasn't herself at all. So, this morning she just seemed to be getting worse as the morning went on so I took her to the doctor and I'm thankful I did. NOW, I guess I'll nurse Charlee back to health while I wait on Saylor to get it. Let's hope not!

Head Over Heels!

Charlee's True 1st Steps!!!

Ok, there's no wondering now! Charlee has taken her official 1st steps! My good friend Robin Shelton and her daughter, Lauren, came over with Lauren's little boy, Sawyer, who is 6 days younger than the girls today. Charlee was standing and I told her to come to me and she took 2 possibly 3 steps!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) Then she walked to Sawyer, too! They had the best time playing together! Saylor was bubbling with excitement the whole time and Charlee was a little clingy to me, but, Hey, she walked!

Charlee's First Step?!?

Well, I wasn't so sure if Charlee had taken her first step or not, but I'm gonna say she did! When we were at my parents' house last week she was standing and to turn around she took a step out and then fell. She'd never done this before. She has been doing it numerous times each day since! She's really trying, but doesn't know she is. I feel like within the next week or so she'll be taking more than one. I'll keep you posted...

Charlee

Charlee will be having surgery on her tongue next Friday, the 21st. Dr. Lockette will be doing it. He said there's not really any prep or recovery involved. It will just feel like she bit her tongue badly. She'll be relaxed with gas and then he'll give her a numbing shot around that tissue, then cut it. Hopefully this will just bypass any problems she may have had later on with speech or dental or anything else.

Look Ma! No Hands!

On Friday Charlee stood from the ground up all by herself. Of course I didn't see it the first 2 times she did it and Brent did...he gave me the play-by-play. But, since then she's done it sooooo many times! She's only 7 1/2 months old...it's all happening too fast! She could take her first steps by 8 months at the rate she's going now. Slow down, sister!! We're amazed and so proud!

Charlee just said DaDa!! I told Brent that's why we had two! Looks like we've got a Momma's girl (Saylor) and a Daddy's girl (Charlee)!! YAY!!!

Today Charlee rolled over ALL THE WAY from her back to belly to back! I couldn't believe how fast it happened!! I picked up the phone to tell her Daddy as soon as it happened! I hate he missed it.
