Doctor's Visit and Play Date!

The girls got to go see Dr. Crenshaw on Friday for their 18month check-up.  They are both looking great, but Charlee REALLY does NOT like going to the doctor!!!  There weren't even any shots involved.  My parents thankfully went with me.  Saylor is the BEST little patient, but Charlee doesn't even want to get her head measured.  It's so funny how different they are.  Charlee weighs 21 lbs. 14 oz and Saylor is 21 lbs. 5 oz.  I realized that they almost have a combined weight of 45 lbs which is how much I gained during my pregnancy.  Whew!  What a load!  Saylor is being referred to a local opthamologist for her left eye.  It's a little weaker and blinks alone a lot.  Hopefully, that'll be a no big deal kinda thing.
Today, we had a play date with Bailey and Laura! ! !  It was SOOO good getting to see them!  I miss Laura so much!  The girls had lots of fun playing together and it was a good chance for all of us to learn sharing.  =)

Charlee's pose...she puts herself in situations that she thinks I'll want a picture of and says "cheese".  So, now I go get the camera and let her pose for me!  She's so cute!!
                               Saylor's turn!
Here's Papa doing his world famous "I've got a bird in my hand, listen to it tweet" trick!  I've seen this done with so many little ones and it was so exciting to see him doing it with Charlee and Saylor!
Saylor's turn!  She wouldn't take that "dollar" out of her mouth for anything!

                                        We LOVE Meme!!
                                We LOVE Papa!!!
Kimberly and Ava came over for a little while yesterday afternoon and Ava read Green Eggs and Ham to the girls.  They were taking it all in!  Ava's an EXCELLENT reader!!  =)
Saylor's room with the mirror put up.
     Charlee's room with her mirror.
Laura, Bailey, and the girls!  Sweet B!!  Look at the smile!  =)
The girls really wanted to play with Bailey's game!

Pictures and Dr.'s Visit

Well, we got to go to HMP Studios yesterday for the girls' 9 month pictures!! They did GREAT!!! It only took 1 hour and 10 minutes...that has to be some kind of record! There weren't any break downs or come-aparts either. They had some super smiles for Mrs. Heather. Saylor sucked in her bottom lip a lot and Charlee had lots of crooked little grins! They'll be the most beautiful pictures!! :) :) Brent and I are thankful Big went with us, too! It's certainly not just a 2 man job!
Today they had their 9 month check up with Dr. Crenshaw. It went really well. She was impressed with how well they're doing developmentally to be 5 weeks early. They're ahead of the game in many things already. :) Charlee weighs 18 lbs. 9 oz and Saylor is 17 lbs. 6 oz. Saylor is 28 1/4 inches and Charlee is 28 inches. (new carseats are in our near future) They got shots and that went as expected and we all needed a nap when we left. Dr. Crenshaw thinks we need to do a Cry-It-Out Bootcamp for Charlee. We shall see... She also tried holding Charlee for a little while and said she felt like she'd had a workout from trying to wrestle her. The sweet baby is never still. That means I'm never still either! She had to do her check up sitting in my lap because she wouldn't be still on the table. I'm always surprised when we get her diaper on the right way because as much as she moves and rolls and flips it should end up on her head and inside out. Bless her! :) But, I promise, she's been like that since the womb! :)
Here are some pictures from today...enjoy!!!

We started our day with a "walk". They're hilarious in these! They just ram into things...and each other!

This was Charlee before I brushed her hair this morning and one of those cute little crooked grins.

Saylor sittin' pretty! Look at that belly! :)

All dressed up for our doctor's appointment!

"Momma, is that you? I can't see anything!"

Look at Saylor...she's saying, "SERIOUSLY!?! HATS?!?" Needless to say, the hats stayed home.

This is when we got home and I was cooking dinner. I know it looks like they're completely naked but they've got on their bloomers that went with their dresses.

Brent decided to put on some trunks and hop in the tub with the girls tonight. I think they all had a really good time! SO SWEET!! These girls have the best Daddy!

Growing Girls!

Saylor had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Crenshaw yesterday so of course Charlee went too. They're getting so big. Charlee is 17 lbs. 12 oz. and Saylor is 16 lbs. 10 oz. I was really glad to see that they're still only about a pound difference. I was afraid that Charlee was gonna out-weigh Saylor by more than that...which would be absolutely fine! Charlee is still waking up between 1 and 3 every night and won't go back to sleep unless she gets a bottle. Saylor sleeps GREAT every night!! While we were there I asked about Charlee's tongue. I've always thought that her little connector tissue came too close to the tip of her tongue. Dr. Crenshaw agreed and said that it was really tight. She's referring her to a specialist and we'll decide together if we want to get it clipped or not. They're supposed to call me to let me know when that appointment is. Hopefully soon.
Aunt Belee went with us and I couldn't have done it without her! THANK YOU, KIMBERLY!!

Doctor's visit

We had our 6 month check-up yesterday even though we're almost 7 months. Everything went great! The girls got their last synagis shot. They also got half of their vaccinations. The other half will be given at 9 months. We decided to split them because their last shots gave Saylor a pretty hard time with high fever and vomiting and we just couldn't take a chance on doing that to her again. She's been through too much already! I'm happy to report that both girls haven't run any fever and no vomiting! We've kept motrin in them and will until 24 hours after shots. 3:30 p.m. today (Saturday) Now for their stats...Charlee - 16 lbs. 6 oz and 26 1/4 in. Saylor - 15 lbs. 4 oz and 26 1/2 in. We think there's more of a difference in their length than that. Saylor's a tall drink of water! lol Dr. Crenshaw said Charlee is acting more like a 9 month old right now. She's sitting, crawling, and pulling up already! She's also in the "stranger danger" phase. That's why she cries when she sees people she's not as used to. Saylor's right on schedule.. We think they're both progressing beautifully and so does Dr. Crenshaw.
